Sunday, August 20, 2006 I like da sink
LOKI: I really like sitting in the sink. Normally, mommy keeps da door to the bathroom closed 'cause Bailey pees in the bathtub, but it has been so hot in there that she decided to keep the door open. You know what this means? I gets to sleep in da sink! Yippee!
![]() Of course, after a couple of days, Bailey discovered this and she peed in the tub so mommy had ta close the door. Oh well. Wednesday, July 12, 2006 Settling In
FRANKIE:
I don't know why my old mommies had me leave their house, but my new mommy says that it's because they needed to find me a new home. It had nothing to do with me, she said, but rather that they didn't want to put me through a move down to North Carolina, wherever that is. I was scared in my new home but my new mommy and daddy and brothers and sisters have made me feel really welcome. Even the old grumpy one has accepted me. She even told me all the virtues of catnip balls and Stinky Goodness. My two bestest buddies now are Loki and Monkee. They are the kittens of the house and are affectionately known as the Doofi (plural for "doofus"). Here's a picture of me with Monkee: ![]() I think I'm going to like it here. Friday, June 23, 2006 Wheeee!
Loki: Da mommy and da daddy have been really busy the past couple of days 'cause da daddy lost his job and he needs to find a new one. But you want to know the really cool part? Because da daddy is home, they worked on cleaning out the living room a little bit and now me and da Monkee have lots more space to run around. Coolies! I likes to run. And da Monkee likes to run around with me. We go up on the coffee table, the couch, and then jump up on the cat tree, and then jump down and start all over again. It's so much fun! Da mommy says I can be a terror but she still loves me lots and lots.

Phoebe: Da mommy is sick and now the daddy has lost his job. I did my bestest when da mommy was sick by watching over her and giving her kisses and keeping her warms, but I don't know what to do for da daddy. Da mommy said to just keep lovin' da daddy and giving him kisses and purrs and kitty huggles and that'll help him. I hope so. I love da daddy lots and lots and lots and I don't like seeing him so sad. I think I'll go give him some kisses now to cheer him up!
Tuesday, June 13, 2006 Frankie is back
We picked up Frankie this evening from his former home, after a visit to his old vet, and he's doing ok. A little groggy from the anesthesia but healthy otherwise.
The reason why he had to go to his old vet was that one of his pupils was dilating more than the other. When I brought him to my vet, they were going to charge me over $1,500 for the workup. His former owner said "let me bring him to my vet" so we did. Since he had to go under for the chest x-ray, the vet cleaned his teeth, and checked his ears. Everything turned out ok. It's probably just one of those weird things with cats that will clear up by itself, but it was better to play it safe. So he's home now and I think he's happy to be back. Of course the Doofi were the first to welcome him home. I get the feeling that Loki missed him. I'm just glad to have him. :) - Mom Monday, June 12, 2006 Hello!
Loki: Mommy gots the new blog all up and running so I'm gonna be the first to post. Yeah!
I am kind of sad today though. Frankie, my newest big brother, had to go back to his old mommy for a couple of days. He has to have his teeths cleaned and some other stuff done at his old mommy's V-E-T. He'll be back though. Mommy promised. She's upset too 'cause he's not here. I really likes da Frankie. |
